WATERVILLE, Maine – May 31, 2018 – Thirteen Colby-Sawyer student-athletes have been named to the 2017-18 Winter/Spring North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Academic Team.
A total of 165 student-athletes were honored by the NAC after the spring 2018 semester.
The NAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Student-athletes must also have reached sophomore academic standing and competed in a minimum of two years of varsity competition at their institution.
The women's lacrosse team and women's outdoor track and field team led the Chargers with four representatives from each squad.
Senior
Carli Chiodo (Madbury, N.H.), junior
Bethany Fennessey (Windham, N.H.), senior
Nicole Lavigne (Berlin, Vt.), and junior
Shae-Lyn Walker (Newington, N.H.) were honored as members of the lacrosse team. Chiodo, a Psychology major, and Lavigne, an Exercise Science major, were honored for the third consecutive year. Fennessey, a Nursing major, picked up her second-straight award, while Walker, also a Nursing major, was honored for the first time.
Women's outdoor track and field junior student-athletes
Natalie Ellard (Rockland, Mass.) and
Amanda Martin (Amesbury, Mass.) were honored for the second year in a row. Ellard is a Sport Management major and Martin is a Nursing major. Senior
Lauren Oligny (Plaistow, N.H.) earned a nod to the All-Academic Team as a Biology major. Also earning All-Academic accolades for the first time is sophomore
Alison Fairbairn (Dover, N.H.), who is an Exercise Science major.
Junior
Chase Gendron (Raymond, Maine) and senior
Curtis Warren (Morrill, Maine) represented the men's outdoor track and field team. Gendron is a Biology major and earned his first All-Academic award. Warren, the 2018 Colby-Sawyer Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, majored in Exercise Science and was honored for the third-straight year.
Senior
Evyn Nolette (Sanford, Maine) of the men's basketball team was honored for the third-straight year. Nolette is an Athletic Training major.
From the women's basketball team, sophomore
Kristen Donaghey (Franklin, Mass.) earned a nod to the All-Academic Team. Donaghey is a Sport Management major.
Junior
Liam Datres de la Blotier (Shelburne Falls, Mass.) of the baseball team earned his first NAC All-Academic award. Liam is a History & Political Studies major.
