PLYMOUTH, N.H. - December 8, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's indoor track and field team finished fifth out of 10 competing teams at Saturday's Plymouth State Winter Classic.
The Chargers earned 45.5 points just behind Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Regis which scored 54 points and finished fourth.
RESULTS
Kyle Diezel earned eight points for the Chargers by finishing second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.91. He also had a solid showing with a 10th place in the 60-meter dash prelims.
Kyle Hajj picked up three points as he placed sixth in the 800-meter run at 2:08.61.
Bruin Smith finished less than three seconds off the pace in the 1000 to finish fourth in a time of 2:50.89.
In the 3000-meter run,
Ben Jones tied for third in 9:32.28 and
Liam Fleming was close behind in sixth at 9:34.47 to each earn points for the team.
Jacob Nichol clocked in at 9.42 to finish fifth in the 60-meter hurdles and collect four points.
The 4x200 relay team of
Michael Bullen, Nichol,
Troy Cappos and Diezel had a good showing with a time of 1:39.92 to finish fourth.
Bryce Carlson cleared three heights, finishing at 3.10 meters, to earn 10 points in the pole vault.
In the shot put, the Chargers posted four PRs.
Alex Kusnarowis led the team in 13th with a distance of 10.69 meters.
Andrew Dalencourt was right behind in 14th at 10.39m.
Charles O'Brien placed 18th at 9.19m, while
Jacob Walker achieved a distance of 8.11m to place 21st.
