LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – January 11, 2019 – The Colby-Sawyer women's alpine ski team began the 2019 Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) season with slalom racing at Whiteface Mountain on a cold and blustery Friday.
The first carnival of the season was hosted by Saint Lawrence. Today was originally scheduled to be giant slalom, but due to the conditions the racers competed in slalom racing. The race occurred on Draper's Drop, on Little Whiteface, under cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around zero with wind-chills well into the negatives. The day began with 75 racers, but 23 did not finish. The Chargers finished in 13th place with 12 points.
