BOSTON, Mass. - February 8, 2019 - Members of the Colby-Sawyer women's indoor track and field team competed at the 2019 Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The meet, held at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center, is an elite event that features most of the best programs in the Northeast, primarily from Division I, but also many from Division II and III. 

RESULTS

Highlighting the afternoon for the Chargers was a record-setting performance in the 1000 meter run. Alison Fairbairn crossed the finish line with a new program record time of 3:15.24 to beat the previous time of 3:16.26 set by Lauren Oligny '18 last year. 

Hannah Giesing won her heat in the 400-meter run with a personal record time of 1:02.62. 

Izzy Diaz also won a heat on Friday. She came away with a personal best time of 28.83 in the 200-meter dash. 

In the 60-meter hurdles, Shari Rainville clocked in at 10.60 and was followed by Johanna DeVries at 10.69. 

Macy Lapan competed in the triple jump. She registered a distance of 10.32 meters. 

Brady Stolz posted a distance of 9.85 meters in the shot put. 

The Chargers will return to action next Saturday at the Bowdoin Invitational.
