WINTHROP, Mass. Junior goalkeeper
Lauren Wilkinson (Lynn, Mass.) has been awarded Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time in as many weeks, for her part in two Colby-Sawyer victories over Keene State College and Johnson & Wales University.
Against Keene, Wilkinson turned out a great performance. She had 12 saves, including two in overtime to help the Chargers beat Keene State for the first time in school history. On Saturday, against Johnson & Wales, Wilkinson had the best performance of her career. She had 13 saves, including six in the fourth quarter to give the Chargers the win and their best start in program history. The Lynn native has 37 saves on 47 shots in four games this season.
The Chargers are set to play at New England College on Wednesday, Sept. 15 and then come back home to face Simmons College on Saturday, Sept. 18 at noon.
