LYME, N.H. – A warm and sunny Friday afternoon in Lyme, New Hampshire greeted the start of the Dartmouth Carnival held at the Dartmouth Skiway. A season high of five Colby-Sawyer Chargers from the alpine skiing team qualified for a second run in the slalom race.
Leading the pack for the men's side in 42
nd place was sophomore
Chesley Smith (Stowe, VT) with a final time of 01:47.54. Following behind in 47
th place was sophomore
Giovanni Lazzari (Mount Vernon, N.H.).
Finn Husband (Elk Rapids, Mich.) and
Jared Marshall (Denmark, Maine) closed out the evening for the men's team.
Senior
Ashley Humphreys (Lyndeborough, N.H.) was the lone Charger from the women's team to earn a qualifying time in run one. The veteran finished in 44
th place with a total time of 01:43.51.
The Chargers head back up the mountain tomorrow, February 12
th, at Dartmouth Skiway to compete in the giant slalom.
