BROCKPORT, N.Y.
– This Afternoon, Colby-Sawyer graduate student
Julia Lanctot (Sandown, N.H.) and first year
Courtney Larson (Auburn, Maine) have each been honored as a 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholar of Distinction.
Larson joins Lanctot, who has now been recognized as a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction four times in her five years at Colby-Sawyer. The pair were amongst the over 500 student-athletes to be honored by the NFHCA this year after being two of the 14 Chargers named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad earlier this month.
Lanctot had a stellar season for the Chargers being named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) 1st team this season. On the year Lanctot had 10 goals, six assists and a pair of game-winners. Larson also put up big numbers in her first season in New London registering 12 goals, two assists, which gave her GNAC 3rd team honors.
The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year. Click
