New Paltz, N.Y. – The Colby-Sawyer College women's volleyball team kicked off the New Paltz Hawks Invitational to Springfield College on Friday evening in the opening match of the weekend.

First-Year Liv Chandonnait (Belmont, N.H.) paced the Chargers during the first set recording three of four points during the teams run halfway through the opening set.

Kamryn Brakemeier (Keller, Texas) and Sailor Plourde (Branfod, Conn.) both recorded two kills a piece in the second set to pace the Chargers.

Addy Sasnett (Virginia Beach, VA.) would be the highlight in the third set for the Chargers recording four kills.

Sophomore Addison Sasnett led the Colby-Sawyer offense with a team-high five kills and added a service ace.

Junior Kamryn Brakemeier and first-year Liv Chandonnait contributed three kills apiece, with Brakemeier also notching a service ace.

Senior setter Bree Bacon dished out a team-best 10 assists to go along with six digs. First-year Lucy Denu (Derry, N.H.) chipped in three assists.

Senior libero Madison Sinatro (Simsbury, Conn,) paced the Chargers' back row with 12 digs and recorded one assist.

Sophomore Maggie Wilder (North Yarmouth, Maine) rounded out the scoring from the service line with an ace, while senior Alexis Mandrino (Dunbarton, N.H.) tallied four digs.

The Chargers (1-4) wrap up the Springfield College Invitational on Saturday, September 12 with two neutral-site matches, facing Westfield State University at 1:00 PM before taking on Western New England University at 3:00 PM.
