2022-23 Accolades: Carus had six top-three finishes in her second year in New London. Samantha started the indoor season with two 2nd place finishes in the Plymouth State Winter Classic on December 10th. Carus received the silver in the 3000 meter and as part of the 4x400 meter relay. Samantha followed that up with another third place finish on February 4th in the 5000 meter at a 19:48.65 time. In the GNAC Indoor Championships Carus placed in third in the Distance Medley Relay. In the Outdoor season Samantha placed 2nd in the BSU Invite on March 25th in the 10K at a 41:57.64 time. Carus finished the year with a bronze in the GNAC Outdoor Championships coming in third in the 4x800 relay. 

2021-22 Accolades: Carus had nine top-three finishes for the Chargers in 2021-22. Samantha now holds two program records at Colby-Sawyer. Carus started off by breaking the indoor track & field 5K record (18:49.01) on February 13th in the GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championship, while also securing a gold medal. Carus also broke the outdoor track & field 10K record on May 5th in the NCAA DIII New England Championships finishing with a time of 39:28.29 for 14th place. Carus was also named a GNAC Player of the Week.

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Fryeburg Academy, where Carus was a coaches award winner in cross country and track & field, while also being named a team captain.
