STANDISH, Maine - October 6, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's cross country team won Saturday's Runnin' Monks Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College (Maine).
RESULTS
In a preview of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship race on October 27, the Chargers had all five scoring runners in the top 12 overall to finish with 32 points. Emmanuel College was second with 66 points.
Junior
Peter Bakker claimed the individual crown after touring the 8K course in 27:52.4, nearly 20 seconds in front of the second place finisher.
Placing third was
Ben Jones with a time of 28:50.1. Close behind Jones was
Liam Fleming. He posted a time of 28:52 to finish fifth.
Kyle Hajj (29:43.8) and
Bruin Smith (29:48.8) turned in solid races to finish 11th and 12th, respectively, to round of the top five.

Colby-Sawyer will compete at Bowdoin next Saturday.
