NEW LONDON, N.H.- On Sunday, October 10
th, the Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team hosted their first ever Colby-Sawyer Men's Fall Invitational. The tournament included Endicott College, Eastern Nazarene College, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and the Colby-Sawyer Chargers.
Senior
Julius Lowman (Bavaria, Germany) earned the title of Colby-Sawyer's top performer wining the #1 singles flight and defeating Nandesh Shaw of UMass Boston, 4-6,6-2,12-10. In the final round, Lowman succeeded against Diego Rodriguez 6-3 and 6-1.
In doubles, the #2 duo of junior
Khameron Savatdy (Woonsocket, R.I) and Aiden Jensen overcome Alex Comerchero and Kevin Kubinec of UMass Boston 8-7 (10). The first-year pair of John Turner and Alex Edelmann came out victorious in the #4 doubles over Braydon Allen and Will Bierwirth of Endicott College, 8-1.
In singles, junior
Griffin Forberg defeated Rezka Yuspi from UMass Boston with a set of 6-4 scores. Turner took another win from Bierwirth of Endicott, this time in the #7 singles play with scores of 6-3 and 6-4.
