Biography

As a senior: McCarthy appeared in 14 games and started four times. 

As a junior: McCarthy made 13 appearances and started three times. 

As a sophomore: Did not play. 

As a freshman: McCarthy appeared in 17 games in his first season with the Chargers and earned a pair of starts. 

At Massabesic: Shawn was a three-sport athlete for the Mustangs. He earned three varsity letters in baseball and received the Coach's Award and Most Valuable Offensive Player award. He also earned two letters in football and two in basketball. Shawn is a member of the National Honor Society. 

Personal: Son of Deborah and Earl. Has brothers named Patrick and Shane and a sister named Alicia. Shawn is an Exercise Science major.
